My literary agent has handed my book proposal to at least 16 editors of publishing companies.

Martha Stewart asked several members of her staff to design a magazine idea for her to start. If you go to her blog, you can view the 7 top finalists , who came up with great ideas. Scroll down to Alexis..I LOVE her proposal…and it’s winning. If you vote for this…..it will win for sure. You have until Feb 7th. You can vote once a day! Once you vote, you can see where your entry is, within the 7 listed.
This could be a great place for me to have a column….it would do wonders for my book!

I know many of you are interested in buying my book. I just got an email from someone thinking it was due out THIS January….don’t I wish….no such luck!
But we are moving forward. I had three agents interested. But, as of now I have one, who is VERY interested and VERY motivated! He has been in contact with many editors/publishers and so far at least two are INTERESTED!!!
I have to submit a detailed proposal, get some well known connections (celebrites, big names in autism) and then move forward.
Stay tuned. This is getting exciting. I wish the book WAS here, as so many parents contact me daily needing the book and the info I have to “pay forward.”

Lately, I’ve been hearing from so many families interested in starting or continuing the GFCF diet. I get at least three…often more requests for my four page starter guide every day. Then I get follow up with questions that they have. It is so terrific to see this and be able to pay it forward! So, feel free to send those questions to me!
I sure hope the publishers that my literary agent is contacting see the HUGE value and need for my book, Bad Food for Good Kids (more info on my web site). Clearly, I have emailed my 4 page guide to over 1000 families. Gosh..probably several 1000. There are children leaving the nasty world of autism because of me. Is there any greater joy than that!?!?
Keep checking my web site and blog….hopefully in the VERY near future, I’ll have some good news to post re: my book.
I am having so many great thoughts and feelings about what 2008 will bring.
Stay tuned…greatness is on the way!

I was published today. I wrote a long article on GFCF eating for a newspaper and it came out today. Here is the link:

It is very exciting, as I have written a book on the diet and other interventions for ASD kids…not published yet..but I am on my way with that.
I pass out my 4 page starter guide to parents all over the world re: the diet. My 4 pager is in thousands of hands, helping autistic children to lead better, happier, more full lives.
This is my passion and I have to pay it forward. It is a wonderful thing to do for your child!!

Yes..I am a HUGE, HUGE fan of Josh’s music! His newest CD, NOEL is the #1 top selling Christamas “album” ever. It is incredible, like all of his other CD’s.
In my sign language class, I always do a ”song sign” to “To Where You Are.” All of his music just gives me the chills….as it is flawless!
Noel comes with a DVD. Josh tells all about the making of this amazing CD. You owe it to yourself to get this…heck, it might even be on sale, after Christmas.
There is no voice like Josh’s. He warms my heart and soul! He will do the same to yours!

Holiday songs are in the stores, on the radio and in our heads! It’s freezing in many places in the world. It is colder in other parts. I love the cold. My favorite thing to wear is sweats, cords, scarves, mittens and fur lined boots. Now, of course cold here in S. Calif is maybe 40…but heck….it’s still a nice change! We do have snow…just many people have to drive to it. Even if we do not have freezing temps, we still have a wonderful chill in the air and the nights DO get much colder! The heater even comes in a bit, when the house gets in the 60’s.
Schools are out, homework has ceased (my favorite part of school vacation), kids are able to have fun, play games, watch movies, ride bikes, play outside, or in and do fun things around town.
My GFCF book is nearly finished…yeah! I have already sent out query letters to several agents. I even got a few replies…my book does not fit them, but they liked the idea and thought another agent should be grabbing it up. YIPPEE!!!!!
Enjoy this time to embrace your loved one. Find peace in the season. Hopefully people will remember the REAL reason ….the miracles….for the season..and not fight over parking spots, or places in line. Spend time with your friends and relatives. ENJOY!

The season is upon us. The chill is in the air, the stores are mobbed and gift wrapping and giving is all around us. I love this time of year. People are usually joyous, the lights and decorations are so beautiful. Children are caroling, helping out those less fortunate and learning the real spirit of giving from the heart.
I write a holiday letter every year to my friends and relatives. The letter is finished and little by little I am printing them out and sending them on their way. I always write just a little something in pen, to make it personal. I think this shows that I care just a little bit more.
My GFCF food book is really thriving. It is near completion. I will then hit the literary agents up with my proposal. Already I sent one out, it came back, saying it was very timely and great…but she did not have time in her schedule for it. Yet, she took the time to improve some of that I said, to better catch an agents attention. I thought that was so sweet of her to do that for me.
Let’s hope 2008 brings a lot of joy to all of you. May it bring you love, happiness, warmth, and success!

Yes, it’s that time of the year for decorations, good cheer, lots of shopping, choosing gifts, wrapping gifts, gift giving, receiving holiday cards, maybe getting a letter or picture ready, special foods, hot chocolate, sitting by the fireplace…………………………..but most importantly…. a time to thank your friends and family for being there for you. Don’t keep your thoughts to yourself. Let those around you who mean a lot, know how vitally important they are to your life.
Hug your loved ones, write them a note telling them how you feel. Remember what the season IS supposed to be about—– miracles, memories, love, giving and charity.
Give from your heart and soul, not just your wallet. Remember those less fortunate than you. This is what it is all about, not spending 100’s of dollars to buy a bunch of toys!
Have a peaceful season. Be good. Be kind. Be loving. AND SMILE.

I already ordered my Organic turkey from Whole Foods. If you have not ever eaten a FRESH, Organic turkey, you owe it to yourself to get one….it’s only once a year! It is so worth it. Grocery store turkeys are loaded with chemicals and just taste awful, compared to a REAL turkey! You will thank me. Remember, it is ONE day a year.
I cut up my GFCF bread cubes today…they are in the cold oven, drying out, to get ready for stuffing, that I will make on Thursday. I got a great GFCF recipe for stuffing from the Celiacs Forum (thanks JEN!)
My GFCF book is coming along. Today I added a ton of resource web sites for the diet, autism and general disability info. I am getting several moms to write success stories of their child’s road to leaving autistic traits behind. They are so exciting to read!
Have a wonderful holiday with your loved ones. Remember the real reason for this holiday, to be thankful for what you have and for those around you. Tell your friends and relatives what they mean to you, and how thankful you are to have them in your life.
We have a family tradition that we go around the table and each of us says what they are thankful for, before we can eat.
Give it a try !
