Priceline is a web site that offers bidding for hotels and other vacation needs. If you go to www.priceline.com and click on “name your own price” you’ll learn more about how to bid for a hotel.
What I recommend first, though is to head to BFT’s site and familiarize yourself with the site and the destinations that you are considering traveling to for your vacation. Hotels that have come up under different star values will be shown on this site. People register (for free) and comment on the bids that they won, while looking for a hotel (also airfare and rental cars). You can see what prices were offered and accepted by people all over the world, for accommodations all over the world. Also on the site are commentaries by people who have been to the various hotels. You can see the common names of hotels that come up on PL for each star value. You can even ask for help ffrom the moderators that run BFT.

Do not pay a fortune for hotels. affordable hotels are at your fingertips. If you make a bid and win..you are stuck, unless you buy insurance ($5/day) so read EVERY little tiny detail before you bid for your hotel.
